Most people think of Crescent Beach as areas that include Butlers Beach, Summer Haven and a few other areas between. Crescent Beach is an area with lots of waterfront condos and very few commercial buildings. I remember when the first condo was breaking ground at Crescent Beach. My father and I were casting for fish in the surf. He mumbled some negative comment about how one day our beach is going to be another Daytona Beach. Well, he was wrong. Crescent Beach has maintained its small, summer village feeling despite the many condominiums. The founding fathers saw what happened in Miami and Daytona Beach and made plans to keep Crescent Beach condominiums under control. One of the best rules implemented was a height restriction of 35 feet. At Crescent Beach, you won't see a 600 foot skyscraper right on A1A. There are several beach access points and plenty of boat ramps at Crescent Beach. There are also two state parks in the area. Crescent Beach homes also have a height restriction of 35 feet. When Atlantic East Condo was built in 1989 it was the most luxurious condo in the area. The buildings design and amenities made it seem more like a home than a condominium. There are four floor plans to choose from, ranging in size from 1503 sq. ft. to 1918 sq. ft. Atlantic East is a beach front condo with direct ocean front units available. There are 69 individual units at the condo, two or three bedroom, with two baths. All condos are single level flats with the laundry located inside the unit. There is covered parking and covered walkways to the buildings. At this time there is not an on-site rental office and all rentals are limited to 6 months. We do not handle rentals. Amenities offered at Atlantic East Condos include: 1 pool, tennis courts, racquetball courts, security gate and a recreation building.

Atlantic East is regarded as one of the more upscale ocean side condominiums in St. Augustine/Crescent Beach. While most beachside condo complexes allow weekly vacation rentals, Atlantic East does not. At Atlantic East, the minimum lease term is six months, so there aren’t lots of renters coming and going. In fact, many units are primary residences. Other owners just like having a more private second home. Floor plans are open and spacious. The landscaping is well-kept. The pool area, complemented by brick pavers, is attractive too. This ocean view 2BR/2BA condo is offered furnished and is tiled throughout the living area, kitchen and baths. It’s a ground floor flat, so there are no stairs to climb. It’s also an end unit, which affords you a little extra privacy. Additional features that give Atlantic East a more exclusive feel are gated entry, covered parking, block construction and a wealth of amenities. Atlantic East amenities include beach access, pool, tennis, racquetball, fitness room, clubhouse and more.
